Hanged Man- Unhappy Card- Major Arcana Series

2:20 PM 0 Comments
I know has been a bit of a wait before I continued the tarot project with the Hanged Man, but it is emotionally draining to write about the next set of cards as we got to the part of "unhappy" tarot cards, which I personally hate. Every time I write about a tarot card, I actually emotionally connect with that card as each card transmits me a feeling and/ or a message. The Hanged Man is not a "happy" card and I found myself in this sort of "limbo" situation where I was not able to act on my "free will" during certain periods of time. Please find below the general overview of the card as told by Rachel Pollack, Mary K Greer, Anthony Louis and John Mangiapane and interpreted by me.

Reasons:

The Hanged Man is ruled by the planet Neptune, the planet of disillusionment and the element is Water. It is considered the most complex image in the Tarot. The obvious meanings are: feeling victimized/ punished/ sacrificed, unable to escape FATE, feeling sorry for yourself or humiliated. As a person, the Hanged Man can be a shaman, a healer, an artist or a poet also a dreamer, even a hospital patient or a person in a low-paying job with no career. From a positive perspective the Hanged Man signifies sacrifice/ self –sacrifice and devotion as well as renunciation. When indicating a situation this card depicts a crossroad or a slow transition/ change.

Challenges/ Conflicts:

In a challenges position the Hanged Man signifies someone stuck in old habits such as addictions or abuse, living in fantasy and/ or illusion. It can also mean you may have an unrealistic/ idealistic view of others or of a relationship, or that your truth is very different from others. In a negative placement (if surrounded by negative cards) it can mean you are absorbed in materialism or there may be problems executing your projects or ideas.

Solution:

As a solution this card encourages you to stop and think, reconsider your attachments. Now you have time to contemplate before making your choices. The Hanged Man announces a good time to dedicate yourself fully to a cause or a project, to use your time for prayer or meditation. With the Hanged Man you can experience psychic visions/ and or dreams/ prophecies/ clairvoyance. From a positive perspective the solution indicated by this card is to let go something/ to make a sacrifice for a greater good/ to achieve enlightenment.

In the image above as usually we have the Hanged Man card in four decks as follows: #1 Tarot of Jane Austen, #2 Tarot of the Celtic Faeries, #3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot and #4 Dark Grimoire Tarot.
PS- For those of you following my blog, remember I told you about a younger boyfriend I was seeing in December? Yes, we are still seeing each other. He is not in love with me but we are close and he makes my life better. Also, I had a question at the time whether or not to do something in the sack outside my comfort zone... well I finally did it this week.. and it was so much better than I expected!! I think sometimes overcoming our fears of the unknown..  it is the right thing to do. :)

Happy Easter- for those celebrating it this weekend!
and Happy Beltane for the Wiccan readers!

Justice - Major Arcana Series

1:36 AM 0 Comments
Justice Card- is traditionally card number 11 in the Major Arcana, however in some decks you can find it at number 8.
This is a controversial card because what Justice means to me, may not mean to you and vice versa, and each person has their own ideas of justice. That being said I am not very fond of this card, even though it can also mean achieving equilibrium, balance. I am passionate about all things in life, and telling me to be balanced is like taking the enthusiasm out of the equation, which is not I am inclined to be liking very much.

To me justice would be something like the quote of the current president of Turkey, Racep Tayyipp Erdogan:
"[Israel] has no conscious, no honor, no pride. They curse Hitler day and night, but they have surpassed Hitler in barbarism".
And this applies to American politics as well, where Jews constantly interfere with American people's true interests and manipulate American government to enter wars and bomb countries they should not go to.

The Justice Card interpretations from my own perspective as well from other author's perspectives are presented below:

Justice

Card overview:

The Justice card means that you are being held responsible for your actions or it can also mean that you are entering an agreement, a partnership with someone. This card also can represent writers or writing, clarity and fairness. If the Justice represents a situation, you need to gather all the facts/ the information before reaching a good conclusion. Think deeper.

Conflicts:

One of the challenges you will face with this card is that you will “pay” for what you have done wrong, or that “you will ripe what you sow” morally or legally. There can be legal complications or the loss of a lawsuit. The Justice card suggests that you cannot deal with responsibilities or you are having a hard time recognizing your mistakes. If you are a writer it symbolizes a creative block.

Solution:

You will make decisions that are right, or you will enter agreements that are fair. It is the best time to analyse and evaluate a situation, to consider all the possible pros & cons, to prioritize and make lists, to balance and make adjustments when necessary.
In relationships, the Justice can mean getting married in the court house, or a in the city hall. Form a business perspective, Justice simply means paying your bills and taxes, or balancing your checkbook.

In the picture above we have the Justice card in 4 different decks as follows: #1 Tarot of Jane Austen, #2 Tarot of the Celtic Faeries, #3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot and #4 Dark Grimoire Tarot.

The Wheel of Fortune- Major Arcana Series

3:48 AM 0 Comments
Today is the Wheel of Fortune' s turn for study. As usually I will start with my short interpretation of the card, followed by a picture of WOF tarot card in four decks and their particular interpretations by author.

This card is a very interesting card, it is very similar in a sense with the Tower Card meaning sudden turn of events but it is not as disruptive as the Tower card. I like changes in life and I always hope for the better, and with this card I always get excited and imagine some extraordinary good thing coming into my life, even though that may not always be the sense of this card, just one of the possible interpretations. I am not so much of a gambler, but I like to take some risks because I am a former student of finance and I have been taught in finance that the higher the risk the larger the profits/ rewards. In fact the rule says that if there is no risk there are no returns. Please do not think I am greedy and I wish for money, but without taking risks nothing will ever change and the profits can be other than just monetary (opportunities, etc). There is always some excitement when taking risks because you do not know how things will turn out, and you can dream, at least for awhile, that things will turn the way you hope.

Going back to the Wheel of Fortune Card, please find below the interpretations of this card:

The Wheel of Fortune

General Overview:

The WOF indicates rapid change, unexpected opportunities and transformation, but the outcome is impossible to predict. Destiny, Fate NOT Chance will decide the course of the action that will lead to success or disappointment. From a metaphysical perspective this card is connected with reincarnation and rebirth.

 Conflicts:

The challenges you will face with the wheel of fortune is uncertainty and delays or going in circles. Things are happening very quickly making any planning almost impossible to do. You need to be careful and conservative in your approach, as the results are still unknown at this time and things can get worse before they get better. In relationships the Wheel of Fortune foretells an unstable relationship or a start of a relationship.

Solution:

In this position the Wheel of Fortune announces money or news of advantageous opportunities. It can also mean synchronicity or that you are in the right place at the right time and good things will come your way, but gambling is ill advised due to the fluctuations of fortune. It is time to turn a new page in your life, a new beginning. You are moving from one level to the next, you are ending something and starting something new.

In the picture  below we have the Wheel of Fortune tarot card in four decks: #1 Tarot of Jane Austen, #2 Tarot of the Celtic Faeries, #3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot and #4 Dark Grimoire Tarot. Individual Interpretations of this card in these decks will follow.

The Hermit- Major Arcana Series

11:06 AM 0 Comments
Hi everyone,

I hope you did not think I will not finish all the Major Arcana cards interpretations. Despite what you might think I actually need more free time, and special quiet conditions to bring you the right interpretations for the cards. You may have noticed that for the last few Major Arcana cards I did not include the interpretations of the cards in the picture at the bottom of each post. No need to worry, as I will go back and complete those interpretations one by one, as time will allow me. Bottom line is, they all will be completed, so do go back and look at those cards from time to time and see if they have been updated.
On a more personal note, I had been struggling with a number of personal issues, including school education problems for my son, and diet issues. Yes, I am trying to lose weight but going to a gym is not a solution for me as I am out of the necessary time to do so, and the nice sports clubs I do like I cannot afford. I would also like to start a food journal connected with Tarot meditations that will help me work on my diet and achieve my goal of getting down to a size 10 or 8. My main problem is that I really cannot eat a lot of foods and I hate most vegetables, don't eat any boiled anything except potatoes ( I mean mostly vegetables or any meat) and hate fruits that are cooked even in cakes meaning I cannot cook most of the recipes I find online/ offline. If anyone has any ideas or advice on how to achieve my weight goal please do post a comment or send me a message.

Without further due here is the new interpretation for the Hermit Major Arcana card.

The Hermit
Overview:

The Hermit represents a teacher, a guide, even the owner of an occult shop and is similar in a sense to the Hierophant, but does not follow traditional venues/ thought and is a non-conformist. In the general overview position the Hermit indicates solitude, time alone or furthering/ continuing your education. When the Hermit represents yourself, it means that you prefer the company of books over people, because you think books have “no hidden intentions”.

Issues and Problems:

The Hermit points to the following challenges you may face: running out of time or going over your deadline. You also can feel withdrawn, isolated and nostalgic or you can fear getting old or that you will be left alone. If you are already in a relationship, the Hermit recommends time apart, in order to get in touch with your inner guide/ spirit. It can also mean that you are in a relationship with an older person. In the situation you are single, a period of disinterest in relationships follows.

Advice:

This is the perfect time for introspection such as meditation/ contemplation or for completing a project, prioritizing/ organizing your tasks, planning your agenda. Discretion and privacy are advised. Do not have very high expectations and do not hold very high standards for yourself. It is good to hold the lantern to illuminate and examine your faults, but do it with discerning wit, in a constructive way and do not blame yourself. Get away for awhile, it is time for retreat and inaction.

As usually, in the picture above we have the Hermit Major Arcana card number 9 in the following decks: #1 The Tarot of Jane Austen, #2 The Tarot of the Celtic Faeries, #3 Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot and #4 Dark Grimoire Tarot.
