News and Minor Arcana Explained

11:58 AM 1 Comments
I want to share some good news first. Apparently the University acknowledged the quality of few other people. 11 in top of original 4 contestants have been awarded scholarships. I really liked some of them, and thought that they really deserve it.

Someone emailed me a link to some very fun astrological sites that I want to share it with you. I like the horoscope.com site best, even though is addressing a younger audience and some games are very childish. It is Ok-ay to still play the Genie, Forget-me-not, or the magic crystal ball and find your inner child.

Jupiter in found in only 5 signs in Minor Arcana.
1. Jupiter in pisces- 9 of cups
2. Jupiter in leo- 6 of wands
3. Jupiter in gemini- 8 of swords
4. jupiter in libra 4 of swords
4. Jupiter in capricorn 2 of coins

1.Jupiter in Pisces/ 9 of cups is one of my favorites cards.
Creative, intuitive, charitable, optimist

With Jupiter in Pisces we have a general feeling of wellbeing and contentment in domestic affairs. In this placement, generosity and unselfishness abound.
Life is plain and simple: we are happy with friends and family and also achieve material success.
As a person would be someone sharp minded, of a good nature, unsatisfied with limited, small ideas. This subject can cope with realities of life and ha
s a creative imagination that can be translated in literature or science (inventions).
Luck comes with intuition, vocation, talent, devotion and trust.

2. Jupiter in Leo/ 6 of Wands

Victory after hard work- my absolute favorite tarot card :)
Rich and successful winnings/ success & achievement in some enterprise
Now is the time to celebrate.
When reversed- there will be a delay/ the completion of the project will be delayed;
no proper recognition. Expected results do not come to some misunderstanding or communication problem.
As a person- will be someone ambitious, charismatic, loyal and generous.
On the negative side- will be someone conceited, arrogant, love luxe/ spend a lot of money.
Luck comes through exploitation of artistic gifts/ talents or leader qualities or through risky business and financial speculations.
There will be a special ability that will show the Querent how to take advantage of chance/ favorable situations.

3.Jupiter in Gemini/ 8 of swords

Here is one of most unfortunate cards as it relates to some kind of imprisonment.
Too much knowledge is accumulated in a chaotic order and that will lead to communication problems. Most times with this card, situation can't get any worse.
Still effort and perseverance that are put in now will pay off in the future.
As a person will be someone intelligent, that loves to travel and multi-talented: talented with foreign languages, ingenious and inventive.
It can also relate to two or more sources of income.
On the negative side will be someone superficial, untrusted, unorganized and who cannot concentrate well, narrow-minded and that has the tendency to dominate/ impulsive.

4. Jupiter in Libra/ 4 of swords

Another not so great card.
Now is time to recover from an illness or a difficult time.
On the most positive sense, it is time to get away from all and
go on a holiday.
When reversed there will be feelings of isolation/ due to illness or because friends have moved away or distanced themselves. There will be feelings of regret/ resentment. It can also mean gain weight.
It can also announce the silence before the storm.
On the absolute positive depending on the cards around, as a person will be someone social, elegant, charming and diplomat.
Moreover he/she will be friendly, amiable, funny and will love peace and harmony.
This is a good placement for politics as it shows interest through social programs.
It is a double sword-ed card the person can always be exposed to public scandal.

5. Jupiter in Capricorn/ 2 of Coins

2 of Coins simply means LOVE or MONEY, but not both.
It will be a balanced attitude towards practical matters. Problems that come up are easily dealt with. There is a general feeling of optimism.
When reversed will take a negative turn meaning lack of balance, inconsistency, uncertainty, immaturity.
This card is a mixed bag: an alternation of winnings and losses, sometimes optimistic other time melancholic.
It can mean a change of job, a general feeling of unhappiness with lack of change.
Luck with travel.
As a person it will be someone ambitious and determined, correct; not very social, not very optimistic, nor very lucky. It will be someone on a executive position. Chance can come through older people or at a later age.
Wisdom, sense of saving and prudent investment can help accumulate wealth.

Nyenrode Challenge Final

8:53 AM 0 Comments
I was very busy working on my personal goals and I had little time to post in this blog. Unfortunately I did not make it to the final of the Nyenrode Challenge but at least I had the chance to watch it live, through the kindness of the organizers. It was very interesting and entertaining as contestants around the globe were interviewed by a Nyenrode Jury panel. I had my favorites, and they did not win for reasons I could not explain myself. Ok-ay, eventually the big winner came from the US and he seemed pretty competitive.
This is in short my Nyerode Challenge adventure/ experience.
As occupied as I am these days with preparing for an exam I will continue to post back here until I will complete all the Minor Arcana cards interpretations.

Jupiter in Signs

1:52 PM 0 Comments
I am trying to update this blog as often as I can, however as a busy mom I found this sometimes difficult. Please be patient with me as I will continue to teach and go through all Minor Arcana cards.

It will be very boring if I only talk about the cards, so I will share some other things with you as well. Today I want to recommend an astrology book I recently bought.

"Astrologyand Sex" by Vivian Erwoon Robson

The author, Vivian Erwood Robson was born on May 26, 1890 in UK and was a librarian, He came from a wealthy family, he was the son of a surgeon. He published 8 main books that are found today at the British Library, in London.

The second thing that comes to mind is the main idea that came to me while watching a movie yesterday. The movie is called "Bitter Vengeance"- 1994 with Virginia Madsen and Stuart Cooper. I adimit I googled the guy, Stuart, because I liked him so much as an actor and everything else- Despite his age, I found him totally hot and I am not into older guys! One of the main ideas from this movie is NOT to live in the past! I have the tendency to do just that! Yes, if we keep thinking how great everything was, we can never move on to the future.I was in a bad relationship with a guy that I was convinced was in love with me and that we were so special together.
I do not think that anymore. Not thinking about the past so much, would have make me forget him sooner and that would have been so much better.
It is when we do not analyze relationships so much when things come to us in a different light.

Moon in Signs (Continued)

10:30 AM 0 Comments
Thank you for your comment, very encouraging.
I would appreciate questions and further feedback.

Now, I will continue today with Moon in Taurus (6 of Coins) and Moon in Cancer (4 of Cups).

Moon in Taurus-
Fairness and Balance regarding money and possessions. The enquirer is generous by nature and likes to help others.
On the negative side- there are feelings of being taken for granted and not getting recognition. Can also mean theft of money or possessions.

With Moon in Taurus we will have some material success, prosperity in a business affair.
As a person, would be someone proud of their money, and could be a spender.
The subject will love land, building and structure and will have strong materialistic instincts. Moon in Taurus gives financial comfort through good investments in land/ Real Estate.

Moon in Cancer-
4 of Cups gives mixed pleasures, success only up to a point. We give little value to the things we already have.
When the card is Reversed it means injustice or anxiety, problems with alcohol or drugs. Help will be needed to overcome problems.

Straight up, 4 of Cups will suggest a person very sensitive, shy, strongly attached to their mother. This placement makes the enquirer want security and a steady home; they will want to be close to their family and come (from) or want a big family.
As a person, will be very careful with their possessions and cautious with their finances.
Moon in Cancer, in general is a good placement.
However if 4 of cups found with 4 of Coins (Sun in Capricorn)there will be behavioral problems such as mental problems.

Moon in Signs

11:08 AM 1 Comments
It looks like so far I had an audience, and this is Great News. The next step will be to have an outspoken audience. I do encourage you to post your comments!

Because this blog is about telling what I think, here is another one coming from the current news.
Why is Mladic prosecuted from the crimes in the former Yugoslavia and no American is held responsible for the "genocide" in Iraq? It seems to me there is some double standard when it comes to who did what.
I hope this is something that will have you think about it.

Moon can only be in 5 signs in Minor Arcana, as it follows:

1. Moon in Sagittarius (9 of wands)- fire
2. Moon in Libra (2 of Swords)- air
3. Moon in Aquarius (7 of Swords)- air
4. Moon in Taurus (6 of Coins)- earth
5. Moon in Cancer (4 of Cups)- water

1. Moon in Sagittarius- Herculean force.
Someone very strong, of enormous force, energetic, brave, social, optimistic, happy, humorous, generous kind of person. On the negative side, is someone hasty, unstable, irresponsible and/ or too speculative.
Great success obtained by fight. Still conserve your strength since more fighting might be done. It also means good health after recovery from disease.
Going forward one must be more careful than in the past. However should avoid becoming stubborn and defensive.
Moon in this sign of chance (Sagittarius) favors big projects, in large spaces.\
Moon in this position likes distance and settles abroad. Also, concentrates on studying: culture, art, philosophy, religion, etc.
Moon in Sagittarius gives many opportunities in life to make money and climb social ladder.
From a family standpoint it can mean- more than one marriage, likes children and will get involved in their education.
Remember with this placement, you can never be too careful.

2. Moon in Libra - (2 of Swords)
There is a power struggle, a tense and difficult situation.
Balance and rationalism are needed to solve the problem. It can signify the breakdown of a once close relationship. There is no hope for reconciliation now.
A match of opposites: truth and lies, sadness and sympathy.
As a person is someone charming, likeable, attractive and intelligent. On the negative side- someone very selfish and unfeeling, undecided and moody.
They attract the opposite sex and do not resist love advancements.
They make good parents, very involved with their children.

3. Moon in Aquarius (7of Swords)
This card is all about cleverness, use of intelligence to solve a problem.
There will be tricky opposition to face, but it will be defeated.
It will be an unstable effort, a partial success.
As a person, is someone unworthy of trust that will be inclined to betray your secrets. Someone with great sense of humor, very friendly in Large Groups, but who avoids close relationships. This person is very independent, unusual and creatively talented, that can easily become committed to causes, politics or diverse organizations.
Women - are modern, emancipated and non-conformist.
Divorce is to be expected, since a home is out of their interest.
They will not be very close to their children and will prefer someone else to care for them on daily basis. On the health side, will predict nervous issues.

Minor Arcana Explained (Continued)

7:07 AM 0 Comments
Today I am going to go over some of the meanings of the Minor Arcana cards. But before I do that I want to express some negative feelings I have over the way Osama Bin Laden was killed. I had a lot of hope that President Obama may be different from the rest of the system, and to my dissapointment he is NOT. I mean, how can they kill a person, like common criminals would do, without any Court decision? Not that I expected the Court to be fair either, but at least it would look more civilized. The Media did not comment on it either. Why?
Ok, now having that said I feel better already :)
Going back to the Minor Arcana explanation the best way to do it is to first run your astrological natal chart at the following
link
Once you have your chart note which planets you have in which signs and match them against their corresponding Minor Arcana cards. Attention you will not find all your planets as Minor Arcana has only 7 planets not 10 in 5/6 signs, not 12 astrological signs.
I myself only found 2 cards to match- the 2 of Wands and the 9 of Coins.

In order to remember the Minor Arcana card meanings pick the cards that match your
natal chart planet placements and those cards that you like or hate most.

Here is a sample of the cards I picked:

2 of Wands-
Mars in Aries- A decision is needed it. This is a time for assessment and planning.
As a person this will be someone full of ambition, acting on impulse, and taking high risks. It is also someone independent, brave that does not like to listen to advice, learns the hard way.
In a reading, the Querrent is a poweful adversary, ambitious in obtaining success and popularity
Mars will direct the energy towards selfish affirmation. With this placement there is conflict between ego and harmony. The person with Mars in Aries must learn to control impulsiveness and aggression.

9 of Coins-
Venus in Virgo-
The pursuit of some goals is successful. The pursuit is not easy, and that makes it more enjoyable. As a person, it will be someone that lives alone, enjoys personal achievements in solitude. As a negative interpretation (when the card is reversed) it will indicated a dependency on another person or at least sharing the credit for some achievement with another person.
It can also mean insecurity and these people often feel misunderstood, and lack affection in their lives. On the positive side, 9 of Coins is complete realization of material gain, inheritance, keeping things or appreciation of assets.

Tomorrow I will continue with the meanings of Moon in signs.

Ps- Someone posted some unrelated link to my post. Please ONLY post astrology related topics, NOT advertisment for India.

Minor Arcana and Astrological Correlations

8:45 AM 2 Comments
I am back after one year absence. I had to decide if I wanted to continue writing on the same blog or create a new one. I decided in the favour of the existing blog, at the moment.
In the past this blog has been a mixed of personal issues and Tarot/ Astrology. I no longer want to combine the two. Starting fresh I want to continue writing mainly on Tarot/ Astrology topics. That being said, today I will focus on the Minor Arcana, which has never been addressed before in this blog.
There are 56 minor arcana cards- out of which 4 of each suit are Court Cards (Maiden or Page, Knight, Lady or Queen and Lord or King). The court cards do not have astrological associations, and the same goes for the aces of each suit (wands or candlesticks, swords or quills, cups or teacups, and pentacles or coins).
That leaves us with 56-(4*4 + 4)= 36 CARDS with astrological associations.

There are 10 planets and 12 astrological signs that represent the Major Arcana as follows:
(just to review)

0. Fool= AIR= Uranus
1. Magician= Mercury
2. High Priestess= Moon
3. Empress= Venus/ Spring
10. Wheel of Fortune= Jupiter
12. Hanged Man= Neptune
16. Tower= Mars
19. Sun= Sun/ Summer
20. Judgment= Pluto/ Fire
21. World= Saturn

4. Emperor= Aries (April) also = 3 of wands (in Minor Arcana)
5. Hierophant= Taurus (May)

15. Devil - Capricorn (January)= 4 of Coins (in Minor Arcana)

Now out of the 36 Minor Arcana 5 of them I outlined above: 3 of wands (Sun in Aries)
3 of swords (Sun in Gemini), 8 of coins (Sun in Virgo), 6 of cups (Sun in Scorpio) and
4 of coins (Sun in Capricorn).

That can be memorized as 1-1-2-2-3
1-aries first fire sign
1-gemini first air sign
2-virgo second earth sign
2-scorpio second water sign
3-capricorn third earth sign

The left 31 cards are spread among only 6 planets Not all 10. The 3 planets left out

5 of Wands - Saturn in Leo- fire
10 of Wands- Saturn in Sagittarius- fire
3 of Swords- Saturn in Libra- air
7 of Coins- Saturn in Taurus- earth
8 of Cups- Saturn in Pisces- water

Ok, this is a lot of information and it will take some time to memorize.
I myself, use some cheat sheets for reference.
In my next post I will go over the meanings of these astrological representations.

For now I am happy that I am back and please post any questions or suggestions you may have.
